Writers will stay in a private house in the mountain village of Mesochori, overlooking the Aegean. We will
take day-trips to villages of Byzantine origin, Neolithic caves, and the medieval fortress of Monevasia.
We will spend one day on the island of Elafonisos. Experience the food, the music, and most significantly,
Greek dance.

Writing emphasis will be on non-fiction, creative non-fiction, and personal essays.
The workshop will include:
•  Daily afternoon group workshops
•  One-on-one consultations with the instructors
•  Mornings and evenings devoted to writing and exploration of the Greek countryside
•  Evening group reading and discussion of participants’ work.

Each participant may submit one or two 1,500 to 3,000 word essays or short stories about some aspect of travel
