BARBARA J. EUSER is a former lawyer and political officer of the Foreign Service of the
U.S. Department of State. She is a co-founder of Writers’ Workshops International, LLC.

Her articles and essays have appeared in magazines and anthologies. She is the author and
editor of twelve books, including Somaliland, Children of Dolpo, Take ‘em Along,
A Climber’s Climber, Floating Through France, Venturing in Southern Greece, Venturing in Ireland, Venturing in Italy, Bay Area Gardening, Gardening Among Friends, and a children’s book The Neighbor and the Stone.

She is co-author of the app Athens Insiders’ Guide. An enthusiastic golfer, she is co-author of Golf in Greece and
Golf in Italy: Fairways of Puglia. She resides in a solar-powered house on her small olive farm in Greece.


CONNIE BURKE, Ph.D. retired from academia as an instructor of English Literature for the American College of Greece and the University of Maryland, European Division in 1992.

Co-founder of Writers' Workshops International, LLC, she has co-edited and contributed to four popular travel anthologies: Floating through France: Life between Locks on the Canal du Midi, Venturing in Southern Greece: The Vatika Odysseys, Venturing in Ireland: Quests for the Modern Celtic Soul, and Venturing in Italy: Puglia, Land between Two Seas.

She also co-authored the hardback, full-colored coffee-table book, Golf in Greece and has currently published Golf in Italy, Fairways of Puglia.

Dr. Burke was one of the founders and first President of Habitat for Humanity, Greater Athens. As Captain of the Hellenic Ladies Golf Club of Greece for over ten years, she organized over 200 amateur golf tournaments and three PGA European Seniors Tour golf events at Glyfada Golf Course, Athens, Greece.

She served as Athletic Supervisor for the Special Olympics golf venue, held in Athens, 2011.
