Join us for a 10-day intensive writers' workshop in Puglia, an intriguing and historically
rich area of southeastern Italy -- the heel of the boot.

Writers will stay in Alberobello in authentic trullis – the architecturally unique
traditional cone-roofed houses of the central region of Puglia. We will take day trips to
the white cities of Martina Franca, Ostuni, Locorotondo and the baroque city of Lecce;
grotto dwellings of Matera; medieval forts of Castello di Monti and Svevo; prehistoric
cave paintings of Grotte di Cervi; thermal baths of Santa Cesarea; Greco-Roman
archeological sites; and a boat trip to view mussel farms near Taranto.

Writing emphasis will be on non-fiction, creative non-fiction and personal essays.
The workshops will include:
 Daily morning group workshops
 One-on-one consultations with the instructors
 Mornings and evenings devoted to writing
 Excursions to explore the Puglia countryside
 Evening music and discussions
